Media in the Clio Cup 2008

ELF Renault Clio Cup benefits from excellent media coverage and television exposure, as befits one of the most highly regarded one-make saloon car categories in Europe.

Year-on-year, the Renault UK backed championship enjoys an increased following at the race tracks and growing numbers of viewers to live race day broadcasts on cable and digital satellite and extensive highlights on Britain’s leading commercial station, ITV1.

In 2007, ELF Renault Clio Cup…

 Made headlines racing in front of 135,000 enthusiasts at Donington Park
 Was watched by an additional 300,000 spectators in total at nine other meetings
 Attracted 2.5 million viewers to race highlights on ITV1’s Motorsport UK show
 Saw 30,000 visitors each month to the www.renaultsport.co.uk website

Public relations is of utmost importance to young racing drivers and their sponsors, a targeted campaign ensuring maximized coverage in the print and broadcast media.

While the ELF Renault Clio Cup does have its own press office and official series photography courtesy of Jakob Ebrey Photography, Jonathan is taking things a step further in 2008 by employing his own, dedicated PR and media service which is being handled by experienced journalist and public relations consultant Marc Orme.

Keeping the local, national and specialist media briefed throughout the season as Jonathan’s maiden full year of Clio Cup racing unfolds, his own media service will also work to ensure sponsors are fully up-to-speed with all the latest developments. In addition, news will also be carried on this very website www.cartuneracing.com
